"Year of Love"
Aleksandrs Čaks. Niks Matvejevs. Mārtiņš Vilsons.
Love is like an anxious flight of dreams that visits the artist at the most unexpected moments. It creates an inspiration of love and passion against the mundane reality of the world. Love for life and woman.
Mārtiņš Vilsons sense of poetry and the way it is presented take you back to the time when people kissed. Manly and easily wounded is the heart that Mārtiņš shares with his viewers. Shameless and open.
The musical presentation of the evening is in terms of Mārtiņš's voice and guitar.
Čaks was the soul of the community - where Čaks was, there was life. witty toasts, honors to some completely humble women who, highlighted by the poet, suddenly shone touchingly. The accentuation of short skirts, eye appeal, and airy touches formed Čaks erotic poetry, which had a connection with the deepest, only felt sensuality.
Niks Matvejevs was a gourmand of life, at the same time a shy and kind-hearted person, with eyes that were always sparkling. Musician, composer, endowed with an excellent sense of humor, storyteller's talent and a wide heart. Niks has left us two discs of Čaks poetry: "Songs for Girls" and "Confessions."
Mārtiņš Vilsons has been awarded twice for his association with Čaks: in 2021, the Aleksandrs Čaks Award was presented for his bright and long-term contribution to the creation of Aleksandrs Čaks poetry performances and the confirmation of the poet's creative values in the performance "Čaks. Vilsons. Mirrors of Imagination”. In 2014, A. Čaks memorial badge was awarded for popularizing A. Čaks work.

REINIS JAUNAIS & ERNA DAUGAVIETE
On the evening of July 19, musicians Reinis Jaunais and Erna invited us to a calm and balanced atmosphere, accompanied by their music, the visitors had the opportunity to listen, reflect and dream about the joy, being together and the beauty that is all around us every day.

Atmodas dārzs season opening
The opening slogan of this year's third season was "wake up and discover. Karosta sounds!", where we woke up the cultural area for two days on June 1 and 2.
Atmodas Dārzs had a busy opening weekend. Open-air cafe and bar "Kūp BBQ" was open throughout the weekend, providing visitors with delicious food and drinks. Those present were happy to see the works of the photo contest "The Paradox of Karosta" and the interactive works of art of augmented reality "Portrait of my city". The day started with the performance of Liepāja's traveling puppet theater "Maska", as well as the "Lidl & Lupilu" baby crawling championship.In the afternoon there was planting of sunflowers and pumpkins in the garden and creative workshops with Sintija Lasmane.
"Lidl" & "Lupilu " baby crawling championship
In cooperation with "Lidl" and "Lupila" in the territory from From 13:00 to 16:00, the "Lidl & Lupilu" baby crawling championship will take place, in which babies aged 6 to 12 months are invited to participate. Every brave crawler will be able to demonstrate their crawling speed on the nearly 4-meter-long track. The crawling distance will definitely be up to those brave babies who are still polishing their crawling skills, but are already full of competitive spirit.
Regardless of the achieved result, the crawler will receive delicious and healthy promotional prizes, while the 3 sharpest babies and their parents will receive special prizes from the organizer of the championship "Lidl Latvija". Pre-registration is not required for the Baby Crawling Championship.
